Photo Fantastico costs $250 per team of 2-4 people, around $65 per person with a 4-person team. 100% of this entry fee goes to running the festival, and your ticket includes our catered boat party on Friday night!
Will this overlap with the Friends of Fearless Conference on Jan 15th?
Nope, you're good! We are planning our Clue Reveal kick-off in tandem with this conference's wrap party, at the same venue. The Clue Reveal Party will happen at the Volstead on E 6th right at 8pm on January 15th. We are friends and colleagues with the Fearless crew, and have planned the two events to dovetail seamlessly, so you can have your photo cake and eat it too!
8 Photo Challenges? What's that all about?
Our eight challenges will prompt your team to work together to create 8 incredible images, so get ready to stretch your skills of teamwork and think-outside-the-box creativity. Working collaboratively is not only ridiculously fun, but invigorating as well!

I partipated last year. What's different this time?
First of all - congrats! We LOVED all of the teams last year, and you all did such an amazing job. This year, we've scheduled the event to follow the Fearless and Friends Conference.
From team feedback, we've streamlined the number of challenges to 8 instead of 10, so y'all can focus on making the most amazing and creative images you can.
Do I need a team?
Yes! You will need a team of 2-4 creative and fun-loving photographers. Some of the clues will require at least one team member to be in the photo. From the ground up, Photo Fantastico is designed to be a social, creative activity, and besides, everything is more fun with friends, right?
One person from your team will register, and we'll gather team info at a later date.
I've never been to Austin!
It's not hard not to have a wonderful time in Austin, Texas. With groovy people and places, lively patio culture, and weirdness galore, it's the perfect Photo Fantastico city. We recommend renting a car for your team, as Austin can be a little spread out. But if that's not your style, there are other options! We'll be providing maps at the coffee kick-off for tips on outdoor and indoor spots. Keep in mind: it may be in the 70s in January, but it also may be in the 50s or 60s, so dress accordingly!
